Eurasia Key Terms
Caucasus- A mountain system and region lying between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, occupied by Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.
Chechnya- Republic in southwestern Russia, situated on the northern flank of the Greater Caucasus range.
Eurasia- Eurasia is the largest continental area on Earth, comprising all of Europe and Asia.
Ur Al Mountains- The Ural Mountains or simply the Urals, are a mountain range that runs approximately from north to south through western Russia, from the coast of the Arctic Ocean to the river Ural and northwestern Kazakhstan.

Tundra- Tundra is a vast, flat, treeless Arctic region of Europe, Asia, and North America in which the subsoil is permanently frozen.

Yurt- A yurt is a portable, circular dwelling made of a lattice of flexible poles and covered in felt or other fabric.
Silk Road- The silk road was a network of paths connecting civilizations in the East and West that was well traveled for approximately 1,400 years
Nomad- A nomad is a member of a people who have no fixed residence but move from place to place usually seasonally and within a well-defined territory.
Supra- Supra means above, or over.

Russia Revolution- It was a period of political and social revolution that took place in the former Russian Empire which began during the First World War.

Baltic- Northeastern region of Europe containing the countries of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, on the eastern shores of the Baltic Sea
Climate of Russia- Climate ranges from steppes in the south through humid continental in much of European Russia; subarctic in Siberia to tundra climate in the polar north; winters vary from cool along Black Sea coast to frigid in Siberia.
