Hitler joined a group called the Nazi.
This group had the same belief that Germany had to overturn the Treaty of Versailles and combat communism.
Hitler success as an organizer and speaker led him to be the chosen one.

He attempted to seize power in Munich. The attempt failed and he was arrested he was tried for treason, but only had five years in prison.
After prison he revived the Nazi Party. After the Great Depression ended nations brief postwar recovery.
The economic effects of the Great Depression helped Hitler's cause. German people were desperate for a leader.
What personal characteristics helped Hitler gain success as a leader?
Hitler was a very charismatic person. He knew how to speak to the people. Another factor that helped him be favored was that Germany needed someone to lead them.
Germans Needed someone who could protect them thats why they followed Hitler.
He declared that Germany was overcrowded and need more living space.
He promised to get that space through Imprealism, by rebuilding Germany's military and conquering Eastern Europe and Russia.

He believed that Germany needed to grow their military power. He promised the Germans that he would use imperialism and gain power to Eastern Europe and Russia.
