      - In the original play that Williams wrote, Maggie was the one that convinced Brick to make the like true. Even in Brick’s last words, he sorrowfully said “wouldn’t it be funny if it was true?” In other words, disapproving of Maggie's words of saying that he wants her to seduce him. Meanwhile Brick was the one who invited Maggie upstairs and seduced her. Prior to so, Brick in the movie was also actively defending Maggie and telling Goope and Mae to be quiet, and confirms to everyone that it’s not a “lie”. Brick in the play just stayed quiet while Maggie defended herself.
      - We can tell a character’s expressions in the play through the feature of stage directions. For the last line in the play, Williams directed Brick to be “smiling with charming sadness.” Which shows how Brick is still against and slightly willing, and possibly admitting himself as he doesn’t want to break the bond even further in the family, and due to his amendment with Big Daddy. This could be seen as rather depressing as he is going against his nature of being homosexual to seduce Maggie. As for the movie, the director has opened up a different perspective. Where Brick was the main drive and invitation for the last scene. When he decided to seduce Maggie, his eyes seems to be actively reaching for her, which may suggest that he is in fact bisexual.
