Retell events or incidents such as newspaper reports, accident
reports
Imaginative recount
Tells imaginative roles and relates imaginary events, such as a
day in a new puppy's life

Aims to give the reader an idea of what happened and when
it happened, according to Anderson and Anderson
(1997a:48)
