FUNCTIONS
What is function?
A function is a correspondence or rule that pairs each element of a set (the domain) with exactly one element of another set (the range).
UNIT (IDENTITY) FUNCTION
The unit function is a completely multiplicative function on the positive integers defined as: It is called the unit function because it is the identity element for Dirichlet convolution.
-
LINEAR FUNCTION
A linear function is a function that represents a straight line on the coordinate plane. For example, y = 3x - 2 represents a straight line on a coordinate plane and hence it represents a linear function.

INTO FUNCTIONS
Into function is a function in which the set y has atleast one element which is not associated with any element of set x.
ONTO FUNCTIONS
If A and B are the two sets, if for every element of B, there is at least one or more element matching with set A, it is called the onto function.
-
ODD FUNCTIONS
A function f is odd if f(−x)=−f(x), for all x in the domain of f.
