Temple died and Swift completed and publishing his memoirs. After this he accepted the post of Anglican minister in a small parish outside Dublin.

Swift anonymously released 2 of his most interesting satires:A Tale of a Tuband and The Battle of the Books.
A Tale of a Tuband was a popolar success but was criticised by the Church of England.
The Battle of the Books was a bitter satire criticising the bad quality of modern literature and praising classical literature.
