THE NERVOUS SYSTEM - Coggle Diagram

- - - - one way system, info comes in and goes to CNS
    - - carry sensory info into spinal cord and motor commands out of the spinal cord

    - - carry info into and out of the brain stem includes all sense and ear, neck, shoulders and tongue
        
        consists of 2 neurons:
        
        sensory - relay info to cns about senses
        
        motor - relay info from cns to other parts of our bod, control actions as a result of sensory info
  - - - Sympathetic branch
        
        increases our body activity, activates fight or flight response
      - Parasympathetic branch
        
        decreases the bodies activity, deactivates fight or flight
        
        produces acetylcholine which has a calming affect, slows everything down again
