Senior Mental Health Lead - strategic plan priorities
Strand 1: Leadership and Management
Create and share mindmaps outlining who is involved in wellbeing for staff - include in presentation
Raise awareness of SMHL role with Leadership Team and Trustees (presentation to both boards)
Work with leadership team to define and promote our "positive wellbeing culture"
build stronger links with appropriate referral services including local support networks and charities - share this list with all Mental Health First Aiders
Conduct initial staff wellbeing survey (abridged Anna Freud survey?) - include broad "temperature check" re current organisational approach to wellbeing, rate where staff are now in general terms, get feedback on wellbeing forum to date and identify any gaps/further ideas to support staff wellbeing. Then consider future follow-up seurvey o review and monitor impact
Engaging trustees - appoint link trustee in same way we have safeguarding trustee - SC would be well placed as can add to current link trustee reporting between SC/HW
Promoting wellbeing culture - Wellbeing page on the HUb needs to be updated and kept "live". Include regular wellbeing messages in Newsense.
Consider how resources support wellbeing - appropriate space for wellbeing/MHFA conversations to take place as there is currently a lack of appropriate private space - to be factored in to refurbishment of main house.
Review existing "stress" policy - broaden to create "wellbeing policy" which helps to define culture and summarise approach/support (include "code of practice" re aligned beliefs, values. attitudes and behaviours?)
