- - - - Heritage Day public holiday celebrated on 24 September. On this day, South Africans are encouraged to celebrate their culture and the diversity of their beliefs and traditions. In this celebration, south africans wear traditional clothes and eat indigenous food.
    - - Braai day is a festivity celebrated to unite around a fire/barbecue and eating all sorts of meat. Jan Scannel, the one that created this festivity, wanted to do a similar one to the forth of July, but for South Africa.
