"Youth: A Narrative" by Conrad - This story speaks of the narrator and his friends in their youth, how they would go on honorable adventures and brave the dangers of the untamable sea as only Englishmen can. Though one can look at these adventures and see that in reality, they were stupid and dangerous and not an enjoyable time at all, the tone of the story is forlorn and nostalgic of the "good old times". It reminds one of the feeling they get when thinking back into their own youth, even though they possibly were not good times, people are always nostalgic thinking back on doing what they loved and had fun with as a kid, when the long future ahead of them was full of possibilities.
