The reproductive glands where eggs are produced
Located a few inches below the waist, one on each side of the body

It is responsible for carrying the eggs from the ovary to the uterus

hollow, muscular, pear shaped organ
where a fertilized egg develops and grows
has several layers of tissue and rich supply of blood to nourish the baby
has a cervix which expands for the baby to pass thru
vagina
birth canal leading from uterus to outside of the body
endocrine system
regulates long term changes in the body such as growth and development. controls many of the body's daily activities
endocrine glands
produces and releases chemical substances that signal changes into other parts of the body
hypothalamus gland
located in the brain, it's never signals control body temp, feelings of sleep and hungry and its hormones control the body's water levels.
pituitary gland
releasing hormones from hypothalamus signal pituitary gland to release hormones which control reproduction, growth and metabolism
