Rules
The game
Like tennis, badminton can be played by singles and doubles (mixed or same sex).
A set is played the first to 21 points. If the score reaches 20-20, then the game continues until one side gains a two point lead.
Matches are played to the best of three sets.
Scoring
o If the shuttle lands in the court, the person who missed loses the point.
o The shuttle landing on the line is considered IN.
o You may score a point even when you’re not serving.
Service
o The racquet head must be below the waist on contact with the shuttle.
o When a point is won, the players change ends and the server serves from the left.
o The server always serves from the right-hand box, if the points are even the serve is in the right box, if the points are odd the serve is in the left box.
o The head of the racquet must be lower than the hand holding the racquet.

The racquet has five different parts: the head, the stringed area the throat, the shaft and the handle.
The shuttlecock
The shuttlecock is often abbreviated to shuttle and also called the birdie. It has an open conical shape. The cone is embedded into a rounded cork base. The cork is covered
with thin leather or synthetic material.
What is badminton?
Badminton is a racquet sport played by either two opposing players, singles or two opposing pairs, doubles. Who take positions on halves of rectangular court divided by a net. The players score points by throwing a shuttlecock with the racket passing over the net falling into the opponent's court
The court
The court is rectangular and divided
into halves by a net. The full width of the court is 6.1 metres, and in singles this width is reduced to 5.18 metres.
The full length of the court is 13.4 metres. The net is 1.55 metres.

Badminton footwork is the most fundamental skill
that you need to possess in order to become a successful
badminton player. you only need a good agility to have a good footwork.
