PLOT
-
"Full Circle" concept:
Play starts with SELF in the dark, seemingly alone. REFLECTION steps through the mirror to guide her (SELF's manifestation). End of play: SELF & REFLECTION having switched sides & REFLECTION is alone in the dark. The play ends with REFLECTION in the position SELF was in at the start (as if the play could start over again). Impossible to tell how many times the story has run/played out. Impossible to tell who is the "true" SELF / "true" REFLECTION
Starts & ends with "Self Image" insecurity
- Standing on either side of the mirror - what you do "truly" see?
THEMES & IMAGES
"Path to Paradise / Road to Ruin"
- What choice you make will set you down a different road
- What road is SELF on?
- What road is REFLECTION on?
- Do they switch paths?
