(Mobile-Assisted Language Learning)
MALL refers to any sort of language learning that takes place anywhere, at any time, and is facilitated by mobile devices (Moura and Carvalho, 2012)
These mobile recommendations have a number of notable potential benefits for language acquisition (Oberg & Daniels, 2013)
Because of the benefits of mobile phones, iPods, and iPads, and due to the accessibility, simplicity of use, and portable storage capacity, students are already driven to utilize them (Wagner, 2005)
THE ROLE OF PODCASTING
Podcasting is a type of mobile technology that is made up of two words:
iPod
(Apple's MP3 player) and
broadcast
(Duke, 2006; Rosell-Aguilar, 2007)
Podcasts for Teaching Writing Skill
While original texts make up the great majority of podcasts, there is a rising amount of semi-authentic podcasts, which are modified authentic texts for second language listeners (Robin, 2007)
The study's findings on the impact of podcast instruction on EFL learning might be valuable for instructors who plan to use podcasts as teaching aids in ESL and EFL classes.

This study was conducted with fifty-five, second level male students at the scientific section of the Preparatory Year in King Saud University

Learners thought that podcasts helped them improve their use of English Grammar (M=3.8077)
Participating learners expressed no difficulty in playing the podcasts (M=3.9615)
The participants thought that podcasts are useful for learning new English vocabularies, which got the highest mean score (M=4.1923)
Podcast lecture is an effective tool for language teaching purpose (M=4.0769)
DISAGREE
Podcasting is not effective for language teaching
Podcast topics do not suit their language learning needs
CONCLUSION
Podcasting technology has the potential to be used as an excellent language instruction tool.
It is suggested that EFL instructors should include podcasting lectures into their EFL writing classes.
The students who took part in the study had a good attitude towars using audio lectures, claiming that
podcasts
were useful for learning English grammar and vocabulary.
The students who got the audio lectures in addition to the in-classroom lectures performed better in writing that the students who only received the classroom lectures.
