Black: superficial epidermal melanin, coagulative necrosis
Brown: basal layer of epidermal melanin, hyper plastic epidermis
blue: melanin in reticular dermis, blood in veins/dermis, drugs/deposits in dermis
white: absence of. melanocytes or melanin, fibrosis, calcium and gouty deposition, macerated stratum corneum
Red blood cells in papillary dermis, dermal inflammation- pink (urticaria), dark red (cellulitis)
salmon pink-papulosquamous disease
red-violet= violaceous: hemogloibin in reticular dermis, interface dermatitis
