The nature of one current issue for religion to which a religion seeks to respond
The problem of evil
Ephesians 2:8-10
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Matthew 5:13-16
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 7:21
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
This means that just because you cry out for the lord or may pray to the lord it does not guarantee you a spot in heaven, instead your actions towards others
Globalisation
Why does it generate tension and conflict in society
Pope Francis believes that globalisation is creating a culture of indifference, as we are constantly offered a series of products that will make life easier, that create sloth, laziness and indifference throughout religion
There are many catholic organisations and charities which seek to respond to the issue of globalisation including Catholic relief services and Missionary of the Poor

Matthew 28:20

Romans 11:33
We cannot wrap our minds around God’s wisdom and knowledge! Its depths can never be measured! We cannot understand His judgments or explain the mysterious ways that He works!

Mark 10:18
“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.
