Excretion
Excretion is removal of waste products of metabolism, toxic substances ,and substances in excess.
Carbon Dioxide ( LUNGS)

In excess is toxic because it can dissolve in water inside body hence lowering the PH of water , causing disruption in enzyme activities.
Urea (Kidneys)
In excess is toxic
produced by DEAMINATION
water (KIDNEYS)
If blood becomes to dilute , water is drawn out
Medium of solvent for excretion of IONS
IONS ( KIDNEYS)
When the blood becomes too acidic, t he kidneys remove excess H+ ions from the body and excrete them in the urine. OR WHEN BLOOD BECOMES TOO CONCENTRATED
LIVER: DEAMINATION PROCESS
Amino acids are un-storable hence the needed ones are used up daily and the excess goes under Deamination process
The Amine group breaks (Using enzymes) into AMMONIA --> UREA
The Carboxylic acid group is converted into glycogen
Kidney
PARTS
Kidney: Two bean like shaped organs which regulates water content and excrete excess of substances such as ions and toxic substances Urea
Ureter: A tube that connects kidney with bladder
Bladder: Stores Urine until to be excreted
Urethra : A tube that carries Urine out of the body from bladder
Kidney
Regulate water concentration of blood
excrete toxic and excess substances (IONS)
Nephrons are found between cortex and medula
Substances that need to be excreted:
DRUGS
Liver processed waste of hormones
UREA
URIC ACID
WATER
