Sketch-Up Community Centre

Board Game

On the basis of the problem: Lack of places to collaborate and connect

Solution: creating a community centre with multiple collaborative spaces to discuss and talk + work

Components will include several rooms such as a meeting room, yoga and mindfulness unit along with each room featuring collaborative furniture to interact through

This will help increase team work as people will have a place where they can openly dsicuss and talk about their ideas and problems no matter the topic, hence acting as a tool to improve collaboration

A team building board game either based on a maths subject such as probability or imrpoving methods to generally collaborate and work together in order to win

A creative take on Jenga: with a narrower base, thinner blocks, and it must be played in teams - players will work together to ensure that their team does not knock the tower over and maintains its structural integrity

Problem: lack of understanding of importancce of teamwork within the younger generation (teenagers)

Probability based board game where two teams are playing; one provides a situation on the basis of probability and the other teams creates tree diagrams, tables and fractions on the basis of the probability of the occurence of the event that the first team has come up with - (I will create a game toolkit with a sandtimer, sets of wooden whiteboard cards so they can be reused when written on)

Collaborative Furniture

Problem: Teenagers are unable to collaborate in today's day and age as they have no location to physically, and everything is digital

Solution: to create a cocoon like structure which can be enclosed for privacy in order to discuss, walls will feature a plush lined material to pin ideas on, a table in the centre, bar stool like seating as well as a wide structure to prevent crowding.
