Overview
Thien Mu Pagoda is considered a religious, spiritual and tourism symbol of Hue city.

Located on Ha Khe hill, on the north bank of the Perfume River.
History
In 1710, Lord Quoc cast a large bell, weighing about two tons, called Dai Hong Chung Thien Mu Pagoda
In 1788, the pagoda was used as an altar for the land of the Tay Son dynasty.
From 1691-1725, under Lord Quoc (Nguyen Phuc Chu), following the development and flourishing of Buddhism in Dang Trong
In 1601, Lord Tien (Nguyen Hoang) officially founded the pagoda.
In 1844, on the occasion of the "eight-long life" celebration of Queen Thuan Thien Cao (the wife of King Gia Long, the paternal grandmother of King Thieu Tri), King Thieu Tri re-architected the pagoda on a larger scale

This is also a place to store many precious antiques in terms of history and art such as the statues of Dharma protectors, statues of the ten kings, statues of Maitreya Buddha, statues of Tam The Buddha... golden historical period.
