In April 1901, Captain Debay discovered that Ba Na had relatively flat terrain and a pleasant cool climate.
In November 1911, the Governor-General proposed that Ba Na become a forestry reserve. After World War I, Ba Na was built into a resort by the French.
Since 1928, when the road to the top of the mountain was completed, the number of tourists to Ba Na gradually increased, mainly Vietnamese and French officials
In 1997, Da Nang city invested in building Ba Na into a large-scale ecological zone.
After 2000, Ba Na regained its position as a popular tourist area in central Vietnam.
In 2009, Sun World Ba Na hills officially opened the Ba Na - Suoi Mo cable car route.
In 2020: Ba Na today has a new look, which is a great pride of Da Nang tourism and Vietnam tourism in general.
