Comparatives and Superlatives
Two-syllable end in -y adding -er or -est,
1 syllable form the comparative by adding -er and the superlative by adding -est.
Some rules:
Superlatives are used to compare more than
two
people or things.
Comparatives are used to compare two people or things.
Two-syllable ending in -ed, -ing, -ful, or -less use more and most
Adjectives which have three or more syllables use more and most.
The following adjectives have irregular comparative and superlative forms:
good - better - the best
