Parable of the Narrow Door - Coggle Diagram
Parable of the Narrow Door
Summary
Many will try, but only a few will manage to go through and enter.
The owner will then lock the door and will not allow anyone else to even try to go through.
Jesus replied that entry to heaven is like entering through a narrow door.
People will plead to be given another chance, but the owner will refuse.
Someone asked Jesus if only some will be saved.
Symbolism
The house that you must go through the narrow door to enter represents Heaven
Those who go in are spiritually pure people, while those who can't get in are people that sin a lot
The owner of the house represents God
Calling for Repentance
God is fair. The parable says that "People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God."
Anyone is allowed to enter Heaven as long as they can get through the narrow door.
Just as you only go to someone's house because they sent you an invitation, we only come to God because he draws us in.
Going through the narrow door isn't easy and many people end up failing. You must choose a life of simplicity instead of luxury to get through, but in the end, it is worth it because you can enter the house (the Kingdom of Heaven).
There is a door to heaven, and we must do our best to go through it. However, it will close eventually, and when that happens there is no chance of going to heaven again.
Jesus said we must strive to enter the door
Jesus doesn't want all those people to be left out of the Kingdom of God, so he himself makes every effort to urge us to repent
Repentance
In short, through the parable, Jesus said that we must repent our sins before it's too late and we can't enter Heaven anymore
After the fall of Adam and Eve, everyone sins, and are even unable to not sin. But after Christ's crucifixion, people are able to sin and are able to not sin, so we must be thankful of this and choose not to sin.
No one is righteous, but what is important is that we repent
To enter the narrow door, you can read the Bible and pray
