Paradise Lost is an epic poem in loose verse by John Milton from 1667. It tells the biblical episode of the fall of man: the temptation of Adam and Eve by Satan and their expulsion from the garden of Eden. The main character of the poem is Satan, the fallen angel.
Trinity. Milton did not believe in the Trinity, but only in the distinct Father and Son.
Satan exploits Eve's vanity by flattering her and convincing her to eat the forbidden fruit. Adam, seeing that Eve has sinned, knowingly commits the same mistake.
However, Adam is very saddened by the sin they have. However, hope, that is, possibility of redemption, is also shown through the vision of Jesus Christ.
