Positive and Negative Effects of Globalization
Languages
Different cultures shared around the world
Different Languages could be known as well as their culture and history
Major language such as english would have more users and so that countries could communicate as they know the same language, this could help countries to their technologies as well.
Unfortunately, as major languages gets more popular around the world, small languages would have the risk of extinction as the users of small language decreases. This would further lead to the culture that uses those minor languages to disappear as well.
Positive: Expanded market coverage. As global markets continue to expand, goods and services can be distributed more quickly across the globe.
Negative: Cheap labor: Globalization makes labor more accessible, which in turn reduces labor costs due to high supply.
Environmental
Positive Effects
Opens businesses up to new markets to sell goods and products.
Increased transport of goods internationally, instead of just locally
Industrial waste that is generated as a result of production is often dumped in landfills or enters water sources
Negative Effects
Increased emissions: The farther a product travels, the more fuel is consumed, and more greenhouse gasses are emitted in the process, contributing to climate change and pollution.
Habitat destruction: Transportation requires infrastructure like roads and bridges, and the development of such infrastructure can lead to issues including habitat loss and pollution. Ships that travel by sea can also cause major oil spills or leaks.
Negative effect
Social: Planes, ships, cars and more transportation can be the carriers for a disease or bring an invasive species to a country. Harming their environment and citizens
Environment: Globalization helps increase greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide. These gases come from cargo planes that help import and export goods.
Economy: Globalization is inequality. More developed country such as America will have me imports whereas undeveloped countries such as Somalia, that doesn't have the same advance technology as they do in America which is a 1st world country that is ranked world's best economy.
