4. While this is can be an overwhelming and serious issue, a sense of hope can be restored
4b. There are many practical actions that public health must take, beginning with educating public health and other health professionals about ecological determinants, and studying and reporting on these determinants and their health impacts.
4c. We also have to help people find hope by working with them, and with communities, organizations, the private sector and governments, to create an alternative, more sustainable, healthy and just way of life.
4a. Health promotion is or should be hopeful, focused on a positive and future-oriented approach that recognizes the importance of the environmental, social, economic, cultural, and political determinants of health.
2. As there are limits to the life-sustaining resources earth can provide us, we must actively address the growing risk of exceeding earth's carrying capacity(modelling Indigenous practices)
2b. Indigenous values that focus on maintaining positive human relations with the natural world, serve as a powerful approach to addressing this issue.
2c. Learning from and amplifying the voices of Indigenous individuals will result in restoring Indigenous control and sustainable health promotion and planetary health.
2a. Growing environmental concerns of depleted resources, climate change, pollution etc. will continue to negatively impact the world population.
