The main thing that would he would constantly think about after the war concluded was how machinery and engineering had progressed in the 4 years of war, at the start of the war a good portion of the army used horses like the knights of old and while at the end of the war horses were still used the world had now seen the use of artillery that could levels towns in a few shots or the almost carless use of poison gas which would regularly damage their own troops as well as the enemies, but no other advancement both intrigued and terrified Victor like the development of the tank, he was intrigued because the development of the tank was due to the fact that the battlefield had become so hard to navigate on foot due to mud, craters, mines, barb wire and the trenches themselves and with all the obstacles the tank was used to overcome them all, what also terrified him was the almost death sentence of using such a machine since it was clear the tactics and technology wasn't ready yet if all the breakdowns or destroyed vehicles were any indication, because of these issues he began thinking of a way of using the might and almost fear these hulking automatons created whenever they entered the battlefield but at no risk to any crew and to make this happen the role of a crew controlling these moving automatons had to be removed entirely he just had to work out how.
