Democracy: system of government by the whole population or all eligible members of a state; typically elected through representatives

Types of Governments
Federal: a tier of government that overrules the others in a federal government - most powerful - national government -Washington D.C.

Local: the administration of a town, country, or district with representatives elected by those who lived there.
Ideology
Liberal: a political and moral philosophy based on the rights of the individual, liberty, consent of the governed, political equality, and equality before the law.
Moderate: is considered someone occupying any mainstream position avoiding extreme views. A moderate is also considered to be someone occupying a center position on the left - right political spectrum.
Conservative: tend to favor institutions and practices that guarantee stability and evolve gradually.

Executive: the part of the federal government that's made up of the president, Vice President, and the cabinet.
Judicial: ensures that the laws and actions of other branches agree with the Constitution of the U.S.
