Meaning
Al-Maqasid
=plural form of al-maqsad
= intent, aim, purpose, istiqamah and i'tidal
= Is it more effective and stronger than al-iradah, since ot connotes the sense of sincere will and firm intention
Meaning of maxims (Al-umur bimaqasidiha)
= Shariah
rulings
in
human affairs
and in their dealings shall be according to their
intention
at the time of execution.
Al-Umur
= plural form of al-amr
= matter, affair, case, condition, status, situation
= the action done by the organs, such as the tongue and its function which is "saying or speech".
