SATAN
How alike?
Both have made a mistake: they have disobeyed and betrayed the trust of God.
Both fell into damnation and received a different punishment.
Both Adam and Satan at the beginning of Paradise Lost were closed to God.
Both when they have sinned they realize the terrible act they have done.
Both have freely chosen evil because they had free will.
Satan’s fall is parallels Adam’s fall and they both performed the sin in two different ways.
