THE ASSURE MODEL

-
Utilize Methods, Media, & Materials
This stage focuses on how the media and technology will be implemented. Organizations should decide how they’re going to most effectively assign, deliver, and provide access to their learning technologies.

-
Prepare the Environment
Wherever the presentation is to take place classroom, auditorium, meeting room, or whatever the facilities will have to be put in order.
-
Analyze Learners
The first step in the ASSURE model is to analyze learners by identifying their expectations, goals, preferences, and needs. The teacher must identify his/her audience. The audience can be analyzed in three groups.

Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences:
Verbal/linguistic (language), logical/mathematical (scientific/quantitative), visual/spatial, musical/rhythmic, bodily/kinestetic (dancing/athletics), interpersonal (ability to understand other people and intrapersonal (ability to understand oneself).
General Characteristics
Reading skills, ethnic or cultural subgroup, learner’s apathy, social background and etc.
State Objectives
The second step is to determine standards and objectives for the program. Learners should clearly understand what they will get out of the program and be able to do once it’s completed.

After stating learning objectives, the third stage decides which media and technology will be used based on content. When deciding on methods and media, organizations should keep in mind how to adopt current learning materials into the desired format, who their learners are, and where they will learn from.

Its main purpose is to integrate media (any kind of media) into instruction in a method capable of producing the desired learning outcomes. :silhouette:
The ASSURE model is an instructional system or guideline that teachers can use to develop lesson plans which integrate the use of technology and media (Smaldino, Lowther & Russell, 2008). :check:
