How much protein do we need?
Average woman needs 65g of protein a day
Average man need 75g of protein a day
Children aged 4 - 9 need 41g of protein a day
Children aged 9 - 13 need 53g grams of protein a day
What is a LBV?
A low biological value protein.
LBV's are missing one or more essential amino acids
What is a HBV protein?
High biological value protein.
Contains all of the essential amino acids we need
Why do we need proteins?
You need protein in your diet to help your body repair cells and make new ones.
It is also important for growth and development in children and teens.
Why do we use/have a variety of HBV + LBV in our meals/dish?
In HBV you get all the needed AA's (amino acids) which isn't in LBV and in LBV you get protein complementation which isn't in HBV
