The Trials
Trial by Ordeal
- Bodkin Trial- Bodkin (Small dagger or knife) would be stabbed into person's 'devil's mark', if it bled or the witch was in pain, they weren't a witch. If they didn't feel pain and it didn't bleed, they were accused of being a witch.
- Swimming Trial- Person would be dunked into water (Usually cold), if they floated, they were thought to be witch. If they sunk, they were innocent.
