LEG ACTION
The flutter kick uses alternating and opposite movements.
The legs execute a flutter kick.
The flutter kick uses alternating and opposite movements. While one leg moves up, the other moves down, and vice versa.
This means that they perform small, fast movements with stretched feet while the hips and knees bend slightly.
The flutter kick is performed continuously over the entire stroke cycle.
ARM PHASES
The other arm recovers above water from the hip to the extended forward position.
Catch, pull, push, and recovery.
The arm movements: Starting position, Down sweep, Catch, Insweep, Upsweep, Release, Recovery, Entry and extension forward, and Synchronization of arms.
The arms execute alternating movements.
