Forms of Government:
The structures and processes a group of people observe in determining who has power, what choices to make, and what rules to follow and enforce.

Oligarchy:
ruled by a small group of people, typically powerful elites.
Monarchy: ruled by one person, power is inherited.
Democracy:
power is mostly derived from the people. In a Representative Democracy (like the United States), the people elect officials to represent their political interests.
