Features of Websites
A good house or style of a website is always used for a good website. This can include colors which are characteristics with the company their brand, font styles and logos that the user can instantly identify as belonging to the company. Many websites indicate the band identity with a large banner which spans the top section of each page of the site
Multi functioning website needs to incorporate navigation features such as a navigation bar on the side or hyper links that take you to sources. With the navigation bar it needs to stay in the same place for every website so that the users don't get confused when entering a different page.
In order for users to locate information they are looking for efficiently most websites include a search bar at the top of the page that allows people to go straight to what they are looking for instantly.
At the bottom of most websites are a footer which is usually less prominent and mostly ignored unless you are looking for more information to hyper links or privacy policies and websites terms and conditions like copywrite
Education
These could be school websites revision websites or educational websites for the general public, such as One You, the NHS healthy lifestyle website
Entertainment
There could be websites for television and radio stations, games or social media websites
Promotion
Examples include websites to promote music events, musicians and bands
Information and retail
Examples include travel information, such as Transport for London, weather information, such as the Met Office, or services such as passport applications or local authority permits
Online Retail
Retailers often expand their customer base by offering an online presence as well as their high street shops some retailers are solely online such as amazon there are also auction and private selling websites such as eBay and Gumtree
