Switzerland is made up 4 major, languages German is the most common, due to it having its own radio & T.V shows (spoken by 2 third of pop.)
French is second most common, Swiss French is very similar to normal French, French people can understand Swiss French.
Italian is mostly spoken in the province of Ticino, Ticino is found on the southern slopes of Switzerland.
The majority of Swiss religious people are Roman Catholic, with 38.2% of people being Roman Catholic.
After that is the Mainstream Protestants Church, with 26.9% of Swiss people being Protestant.

Aspect 1: Swiss History
4 Marker- The individuality & uniqueness that makes up Switzerland is their pride & tolerance for the diversity of their country. This diversity gives Switzerland its unique identity.
13th century the Swiss cantons began to join together. In 1291 the 'Swiss Confederation" was formed by 3 cantons, offering each other mutual protection.
By the 19th century 26 cantons had joined the 'Swiss Confederation', political powers were divided between the national government in Bern & between the cantons.
Regardless of this Religious wars have been fought between Catholics & Protestants, especially during the reformation of the 16th century. These wars continued until the 1840's
Unification between Italy & Germany resulted in national consciousness growing due to these powerful neighbouring countries.
The 600 year anniversary of the confederation was celebrated in the year 1891, this resulted in the Swiss people forming a real sense of identity.
