French helped out the Americans but the war was expensive and contributed to a large government debt.
Marquis de Lafayette: Aided the American military and helped with training: imprisoned by the French for being a radical and took all his money
Separation of Powers: Monarchs are bad, only one power in power e.g U. S Democracy/Three Branches
Secularism: Separation of church and state: 1st estate is clergy and the peasants don't want religion in the government

Napoleon Bonaparte: Frances "First Consul" and emperor, as for his military success throughout Europe and control of France
When Robespierre died by attempting to escape when violence broke out the terror came to an end, as well with economic policies with France
Over 300.00 suspects were arrested; 17,000 were excuted by Robespierre
