HISTORY
Hoa Lu city, Ninh Binh province used to be the capital of our country during the feudal period.
This place was built many pagodas with unique architecture, the most prominent of which is Bai Dinh - Trang An.
Bai Dinh Pagoda was built in 2003, located in Trang An scenic spot.
Bai Dinh - Trang An spiritual tourist area was built in Gia Sinh commune - Gia Vien - Ninh Binh.
Combining the two words Bai Dinh will mean worshiping the Buddha, heaven and earth above.
ARCHITECTURE
The architecture of the pagoda stands out with large, monumental cubes bearing the imprint of Vietnamese architecture
In terms of materials, the column and truss system at Tam Quan gate, Arhat corridor and Quan Am hall are made of quartet wood, larger works are made of imitation wood concrete.
Tam Quan gate, bell tower, Quan Am palace, Phap Chu message, Tam The palace, respectively, the roof top height is 16.5 m, 22 m, 14.8 m, 30 m, 34 m respectively.
All roofs use Bat Trang glazed tiles, the three-storey architecture of the roof is curved in the shape of a phoenix's tail.
THE WAY TO BAI DINH PAGODA
Train: You can buy train tickets from Hanoi station to Ninh Binh station, then take a bus or taxi to Bai Dinh pagoda. Train ticket prices will range from 120,000 VND depending on the class of seats you choose.
By bus
Currently, you can take a bus route from Giap Bat bus station or My Dinh bus station to Ninh Binh and then to Bai Dinh pagoda. Ticket price for each turn is from 70,000 VND to 80,000 VND/person.
Motorcycle: If you ride a motorbike, you can follow National Highway 1A to the central area of Ninh Binh city, then follow the signposts to Bai Dinh pagoda.
NOTES
Remember to bring change when going to temples and donating.
In early spring, there is often a light drizzle, so you should bring a small folding umbrella as a backup
Should choose polite clothes when entering the temple, comfortable clothes should not wear tight, sweat-proof clothes.
