Porphyria's Lover
Porphyria
When Porphyria first enters she appear like a good-manners girl who brings happiness to the sad man which is her lover. Immediately after discovering her shoulder she show her sensuality with her "yellow hair". From the text we also learn that the girl was meeting her lover without the permission of her family.
Lover
The man appears like a lonely man, he doesn't want to speak to Porphyria but he was shocked when he see how much the girl love him. It may seem that we understand the lover's madness from the moment he kills Porphorya, but the real moment is when he kisses the girl's lifeless body.
