INTEGRATING BLOG AND FACE-TO-FACE INSTRUCTION INTO AN ESP COURSE: ENGLISH FOR HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM

The target participants of the research were 44 English for Tourism and Hospitality course sophomore students of the Technology University of Taiwan (2012).
Research methods: quantitive and qualitative methods, survey, interview.
44 learners were divided into 7 mini groups and after submititting all the works the students commented each others work to improve.
LSQQ was used to analyze the effectiveness of the integration of blended learning applications with face-to-face classess.
The participants were asked to make a short film based on the course, and submit it blog application
results of the research
37 open-ended questions were used to analyze the views of the learners about the blog based learning. There were 5 options to show the insights of the learners about the application such as strongly agree=5; agree=4; neutral=3; disagree=2; strongly disagree=1
Moreover quesrtions were also categorized, according to some factors

76% of the learners had improvements in turns of the usage of blogs helping to enhanse the knowledge of tourism section of the learners
