Popular Sovereignty is the source of all power or authority to govern its people to govern the people
Limited Government and rule of law,
Government is limited by the law
Limits are placed on the powers of state and national government

Federalism-
the power to govern is divided between local government, state governments, and the national government, creating a federal system of government
DELAGATED POWERS-

SEPERATION OF POWERS

Judges are appointed rather than elected and serve a lifetime in order to ensure that the judicial system is independent from political influence
