Chapter 3
Sisu wants meat
We then cut to Raya standing in front of a string of empty market stalls save for the ones selling the bare essentials with Sisu still gazing back at the meat market off screen.
“Ten, fifteen, thirty-ish,” mutters Raya as she flips through the jade coins strung up on her belt.
“Looks like I’m a bit short… Are you even listening?” Raya checks behind to see Sisu distracted by the sights and sounds of the meat market they passed off screen.
-
“Oh uhhh, yeah you can say that again.”
Raya dumbfounded, glances at the crowd realizing everyone else really was head and shoulders above her.
Feeling irritated, Raya pulls Tuktuk over to the nearest market stall where they find themselves staring at crates of vegetables, all watched by the burly shop keeper with a vicious guard monkey on his shoulder.
“Noooo that’s not what I meant Sisu,” huffs Raya as she begins picking out cabbage and several gnarly looking roots from the crates.
“What I meant was the one thing I forgot to account for on this derelict adventure, was that the certain, magical creature, I’ve been looking for, has an appetite comparable to death itself.”
-
“But look Raya, at least there’s plenty of food here! I mean we just passed this place that had entire hunks of meat hanging from the roof and there was this guy giving it out to everyone!”
“Uhhhhgggg, why don’t you… just… get… the… stinkin’… point. I just don’t have the money?!,…and sit up straight, you’re scaring people!”
We pan out to realize that the veiled woman on Tuktuk, had been leaning so far forward while listening to Raya, that several people were staring in confusion at the curious physics breaking contortionist.
Seeing Sisu obediently straiten herself, Raya sighs, “And no, I’m not going to waste all of my money on mung meat for you to gorge yourself now and cry hungry later.”
Grumbling, Sisu looks away from the slabs of meat hanging from the butcher’s stall off screen. “Not even one?”
-
-
-
-
“No!” replies the grocer as Sisu is immediately berated by a long series of shrieks and chitters. “Truth is, I just need to buy us enough to keep us barely alive. You got that!” Sisu gives a half-hearted nod. “Good.”
-
They enter the village
Approaching their view, the desert village, stands in marked contrast to the miles of featureless earth.
Its bright red and yellow banners and market stalls, as well as the stone houses that surround the village center seemed gathered there out of the same need as our travelers on the road.
Raya leading the way, whistles periodically, guiding Tuktuk with her voice while listening to the dirt and sand squelching as he rolls close behind.
Upon nearing the village, Raya and Sisu cross several small rickety wooden bridges spanning across the many gashes in the earth that surround the village.
Though Raya remains focused on the village ahead, Sisu in her curiosity, glances at the river, gurgling faintly far below them.
-
When crossing the bridge we lean over the railing with Sisu and behold the massive waterfall towering high above the river below, cascading its crystal white waters over the dam and deep into the shadowy abyss.
“Whoa…!,” wonders the breathless Sisu as we pan around to see the amazement in her eyes peeking over the veil as we continue to gaze beyond the falls.
Now in its full glory, we pan out to see what seemed to just be a village is now a vast clear lake, mirroring the cloudy vibrant blue sky above, uniting far beyond the horizon line.
That’s when we realize the village itself is not only built on the lake edge but also on the rocky pillar formations dotting the shoreline of the lake.
Awestruck, we follow Raya and Sisu to the main entrance of the village where we are met by a crowd of boys and girls, no younger than twelve, herding several dozen of the huge buffalo like creatures.
Looking up, we and Sisu stare at the gateway itself.
-
Guarding upon the slab, is an elaborately dragon elaborately.
Quietly resting on its smooth surface, he gazes motionless at the people below, patiently watching their every move, eager to pounce on any stranger trespassing his village.
-
Raya acts sus
However as Raya moves on to the fruit crate, Raya snaps her head behind to see something dart out of view
As Raya nervously gazes in the distance, we see the grocer behind her lean over his stall
-
“Say, I think I’ve seen you before missy.”
Picking out several mangos, Raya sarcastically glances back, “Bro I live here! Of course we’ve all seen each other.”
While Raya is distracted, we see Sisu in her boredom lean off to the side causing Tuktuk to suddenly swerve around
A yelp almost escapes Sisu’s mouth as she frantically tries to lean back, attempting to undo her mistake.
A few clicks of the bearings underneath the saddle causes Raya to snap around just in time to catch Tuktuk from backing up into the crates of vegetables.
Grandma’s a little.. - R says as she spins her finger around her head before snarling to S - Yeah! Grandma and I need to hurry home now!
Sisu distracts herself
We cut to S’s perspective who is completely oblivious as we see behind R becoming more anxious with finishing her purchase
Spying the handle bars expertly fashioned from a pair of long bull horns, a twinkly of curiosity sparks in Sisu’s eyes.
Looking with her over the yellow bandanna, we see her put forth a blue hand on the handle bar before quickly reeling it back under her coat, embarrassed for almost blowing our cover.
Glancing this way and that, Sisu wraps the long coat flaps around her hands.
When placing them on the handle bars we feel the surge of freedom burst deliciously through our finger tips.
-
From the moment we look up, the world seems to come alive as we get to imagine the bustle of the market, the sounds of bargaining, the smell of spices, all flood our eyes with warmth and excitement as we are swept into the throng flooding our heart with adventure
Chapter 1
Breakfast
We cut again to B, H and a table of other officers and all are gingerly feasting on exotic insects with B being the only one enjoying the delicacies
I must ask Lord General, was there not enough lamb and pork to go around? - asks an officer to the relief of the others who all had the same question in mind.
-
It’s like what my nephew said, ‘what’s life without exploration and discovery’? - B replies as he scoops out the tender white flesh of some iridescent beetle
-
But while he slurps in the delicate meat off of his spoon, we see H slither out of the tent unnoticed
-
Though half empty now, our little tarantula continues to struggle to remain on the surface against the dozes of spindly arms and legs attempting to do the same.
Fortunately, the basket lid is pried off as sunlight rains down on the creature’s eight gracious eyes.
Sorry you had to go through that - H says as we see him put forth a hand into the basket which the creature quickly climbs onto.
We then cut to a closeup of H’s uniformed shoulder where the creature clambers onto as we cut away to see the two of them facing the morning sun and ruined bridge
Out of his coat pocket, H draws forth a glass orb as it sparkles in the sunlight
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
But out there, I’m going to find out what happened.
And then… everyone will know ours- H promises as he looks out hopeful into the horizon before gazing into the stormy reddening darkness writhing in the orb as we zoom into the spiraling forms of flaming dragons and scarlet monsters with a curious speck enveloped in jade light racing around inside.
B enters the scene upset
Sorry Uncle Barrow, I’ve never seen them this big before - H gestures to the creature
Well isn’t that sweet of you. Found a nice big one for breakfast - B smiles sarcastically as he swiftly grabs the tarantula by the abdomen
-
What is the meaning of this Hammond! You were supposed to be up hours ago organizing the next march ahead. - B hollers as he shoves the terrified creature in H’s face.
-
-
-
An army in complete disarray, entire camp sections iced over, something about a girl, something big and blue… - B
-
-
-
-
-
-
Precisely. And if it’s going to be all of this adventure talk, you need to expect yourself to be up earlier. - B
-
Just don’t be late for breakfast - B says as he effortlessly tosses the tarantula over to another soldier manning a spit roast where we then cut to the creature being thrown in a large basket full of other crawly things.
Hammond! What’s this? - a voice booms up ahead as H looks up to see a senior officer fully dressed in red uniform standing before him.
Hammond's dialogue
The episode begins with a black screen where after the title card fades away, we hear the sound of someone sketching.
The blackness fades to white where we see a close-up pencil scratching out lines on a crisp white page
We cut farther back to see a young red-haired caucasian man sitting crosslegged in his tent with a sketch pad in his lap
-
That’s where we see the large bright red arachnid nibbling on the bread chunks laid out on the sand as we pan away to see its likeness on the paper.

Chapter 4
Kai's intro
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
So you’re telling me you’ve trekked this far out, braved storm and rival tribes, on top of the coming war, …all for your bestie - K
I hate to break it to you, your friend ain’t that lost - K
-
Actually uh.. ummm - S struggles with her words before we see a strange yet comforting sparkle in her eyes
…I’m actually on the hunt for the last dragon - S whispers back, causing K’s eyes grow wide
-
-
-
-
K gulps the swelling in his throat, braving himself to utter some dark anathema
However, the cart suddenly comes to a stop as the guards hustle to their duties
-
-
Behind us, a long table where several burly officers await lines and lines of draftees
-
-
But just as the guard lifts K by the collar, we see from K’s perspective S deliver a powerful head butt to the back of the guard’s head
-
-
-
Sisu's capture
Click click click click click click click click click. Looking up from beneath the support beams holding up the wooden streets, we briefly see a huge shadow swiftly pass by, clicking down the descending path. Cutting to above the floorboards, we see Sisu careening down the bridge and bumping into people being swept by the voices screaming in her head
Though the more S cries out R’s name, the more annoyed the residents become
No no nonononono what am I doing? - S panics to herself as she squeezes her way back to the village gate
-
-
Please come back R, I don’t want to be alone - S whispers over and over to herself
-
When turning to see, we realize it’s the same hunters from earlier
-
-
Your’e not getting away this time!! - was the reply when several hunters immediately surround her with spears drawn

Chapter 2
-
The disguises
“Heh…’bout time I’d take his advice,” she huffs as she hops off of Tuktuk before rummaging through the saddle bags,
Hopping off too, we Sisu deep in thought we get a wide shot of her gazing at the village surrounded by the vast desert
Her aqua fur contrasts the vibrant sky with the fiery sand and the red ravines that shatter the landscape around.
“I feel kind of bad just leaving them to the invaders,” she speaks to the wind wafting through her mane and rippling dorsal fins.
“Yeah I guess they’re mean, but after what we’ve been through, I still hate to see them face those other guys alone.
-
“Sisu, I wish it were that simple,” Raya replies from outside our view.
“Don’t get me wrong, you’re kind to think we should help them too, but I don’t think they’d want it.”
“Maybe if were nice to them, they might…” Sisu lets her words trail off. Unsure of what to say next, she continues her silent gaze toward the village, letting Raya’s words seep through her skull.
Hearing Raya digging through her luggage, we turn to see her draw out a yellow tunic and the maroon cloak before putting them over her blue one.
Though feeling curious over Raya’s disguise, seeing her pull out the red tent fabric and an extra large straw hat, drains Sisu of all her enthusiasm sending her reeling back in terror,
-
Next we cut to the face of an upset Sisu laying on Tuktuk with her arms crossed as we see Raya fasten a yellow bandanna around her face and tie the oversized straw hat on Sisu’s head.
We zoom out to see Raya balancing on the saddle while fastening the hat to the back of the collar of her heavy brown coat, now around Sisu’s neck with the sleeves sewn together.
Tied around the base of her neck, Sisu now has the red tent draped over her back and tail, concealing the last of her true form.
All together, Sisu looks like a veiled woman sitting cross legged on Tuktuk with luggage fastened in the rear.
As Raya fastens the satchel around S’s neck to finish the disguise, we hear S grumble, “This is not what I imagined Raya!”
“Listen, I love you, but the last thing I want to happen is for you to be claim jumped…Besides, we’ll be in and out of this place before you know it…hopefully.”
Chapter 5
The Escape
Well don’t stop now! - K breaks the silence as he takes the guard’s sticks and knife as he then cuts his binds and her towline.
STOP THEM!! - Instantly every guard and soldier comes pouring out of the complex and rushing toward them
-
-
LET’S GO!! - K hollers as he leans the saddle almost to the ground causing Tuktuk to rocket across the courtyard
-
The frame explodes as we find ourself inside a common area where more soldiers come pouring in from every hallway
-
It ain’t over yet! - K answers as he charges towards another doorway where there stood the biggest man S had ever seen
-
However, K anticipates the soldier’s attack as K violently swerves Tuktuk to the side
From the guard’s perspective we see S’s blue hands gripping the saddle as she and K almost lean over completely to the ground before rocketing up the stairs
A moment passes when we hear screaming and shouting before the slim window on the second floor of a nearby turret explodes in a shower of bricks as we cut beside K and S charging through and onto the rooftop
The crowd below us immediately moves out of the way as we sail over the roof and crash onto the tile pavement before speeding away back towards the bridge
-
I wish - S replies as looks back to see several pursuers riding fast behind on the freakish buffalo creatures from earlier
-
-
The next thing we see is the three of us on Tuktuk bursting through a market stall and falling over the cliff edge, all of us are screaming as we fall down to the steep road below us.
We hit the pavement with a jarring CRASH!! As we glance up to see a pursuers halt over the edge before taking the dive themselves.
Again, K takes a sharp turn around the bend and breaks line of sight with our pursuers
But before they could catch up, K screams HANG ON!! Just as he leans Tuktuk completely on his side
But with so much momentum built up, instead of swerving, Tuktuk simply sails over the road, effortlessly sliding the three of us under the sandy docks just as our pursuers turn the bend.
-
