How to teach writing?
Writing as a process
How people write?
Most people use the skill of writing in daily activities, habits, and/or tasks.
Planning
In the first place, they have to consider the purposes of their writing.
-
Thirdly, writers have to consider the content structure of the piece (sequence of the ideas, facts, and arguments).
-
Editing
You can also copy, move, or delete portions of text, search for and change a word or phrase, and check the document's spelling.
Final revision
Students creatively express the results of what they have researched and learned. They are made during or at the end of a sequence of writing
Writing and Speaking
Time and Space
Writing and listening are related in the media, since through both of them we can communicate and express ideas, for example in a speech, we can direct it and in turn write it to save it and analyze it.
Participants
When we do things of daily life we use a language when we address someone, this changes depending on whether or not we know the other person, the same thing happens when we write or write something
Process
In this case, speaking is more complex since we organize ideas in our minds while we speak, on the other hand, when we write we can fix or modify an initial draft as well as correct errors
Signs and Symbols
Both when writing and speaking we must take into account intonation as well as punctuation marks and others that allow us to express ideas correctly, since if it is not fulfilled, the meaning can be altered and convey what is not.
