with all manners of cooking shows
it was just too much ‘in your face
ingredients
rarities
cost the earth
grew tiresome of them
so I'm relegated to
beans on toast
a simple fry-up
high quality cooking
is reserved for the upper middle class
dinner evenings
dips and foie gras
assortment of cheese and biscuit
family get-togethers around the table
the TV seems to rule
end up
getting crumbs everywhere
staining the upholstery with sauce
Sadly,
eat our meals off our laps
сongregate around the box
don't exchange a single word
glued to the screen shoveling food into our mouths
the strongholds of the Mediterranean diet
few ingredients to make flavourful dishes
while eliminating food waste as much as possible
