P-GC: Ordinary conflicts escalate
A-GC: No self-defense without guns
Guns can and will continue to be precursors to violence, as they are deadly weapons aimed to wound or kill. This being said, even with stricter laws around gun control, criminals can and will access guns. Barring the public from owning guns could prevent them from having a defense mechanism in a life-threating event.
P-GC: Reduces crime rates
A-GC: Criminals won't stop
Although making stricter laws for gun control could possibly reduce crime, criminals will not stop being criminals. Laws would make getting weapons harder for said criminals though.
