Environmental impacts
Published research about T>S>S life cycle assement
The impact of packaging is mostly due to electricity use and packaging materials. Transportation, however, has a much higher impact than production. Its contribute to the total impact is always around 90%. The most significant environmental themes are acidification, heavy metals, winter smog and GHG emissions.

La baleine harvests in the French Mediterranean, using a tootles process which utilizes natural resources such as solar energy and wind for much of its production process.

Highest impacts come form production, and consumption
“Hotspots” likely due to water usage and energy at the consumption level, and emissions from machinery at the farming level.
Organic and biological, however the website is not very transparent about their production methods, impacts, and values.

Reflection
What have i learned about my personal interactions with nature from my research
That we have become increasingly distant from our food and our food systems
We often don’t think twice about the impact of the food we have, where it has come from, and the people behind it, and I believe we as a society, and the earth as a whole, would be a lot better off if we did.. I wo

2Divergent food system
High tech food and reconnecteing with nature
Instead it of wondering where you can buy what it is you’re craving- why not ask what is it that the land and my community can provide?
That it feels much better to knowing where my food comes from, and who was a part of the process.
Not only is the food fresher, and more nutrient dense
It also has an emotional component. It feels like a more holistic and connected approach to food, and the benefits go far beyond nutrient content-exten to emotional spiritual benefits
Sitopia quote, permaculture quote- some source here
After working on sanders farm, i discovered this and have a much deeper understanding of my food. Before, i never thought twice about it.
Salt- used more often than anything else in my kitchen- had no idea where it came form or the impact it has
Feel better knowing it comes from land that is treated well, with agroecological practices
Changes i can make
Switching to locally grown tea and herbs
