Globarization and trade
Balance of Trade is the difference in value over time of a country's imports and exports of goods and services. This belongs in globalization because
The belt and road Initiative is a road that China uses to connect Asia with Africa and Europe. They use that road to improve regional integration and to increase trade and stimulate economic growth.
Choke point is a very thin river where big container ships pass through to deliver. One example is the Suez Canal that passes through Egypt. I connected this to the belt and road because they are used to deliver goods to other countries.
Container Ship is a big ship that carries goods and transports them to another country. I connected ths with choke point and The belt and road initiative because a container ships passes through a choke point and The belt and road initiative needs the container ships.
Comparative advantage is when a country can produce goods for a cheaper priza than other countries. They wouldn't end up paying as much as other countries. This connects to Globalization because the object that was created is very usefull and they got it for free.
Fair Trade is used to ensure if the trade is actually worth it. One example could be going to the store. You want the object to be in its best quality because you dont want to spend money on something that is not in good conditions.
Global Supply Chain covers all the steps involved in making and delivering. This relates to trade because Global Supply Chain makes trade a lot easier.
Imports are goods that are brought to a country made from another country. One example is clothes. Many clothes are made in China and are transported to the U.S where they sell them.
Commodity is a good useful object that is brougth from another place to be sold. This connects to imports because goods are brough from a different place so that people can sell them. The have similar definitions.
Ivory Coast and Chocolate. The Ivoryy Coast is the world's biggest cocoa producer. Cocoa seeds are very important because those are the seeds that make chocolate. Since cocoa seeds were discovered, chocolate has become a very famous sweet. Lots of people in this world love to eat that is why I placed it in globalization and trade.
Scarcity is a problem when many have limited amount of resources. They have to make the correct decision to satisfy there need and wants. One example could be someone who has 100 dollars and wants to buy groceries and some wants. The person has to make a decision on how to spend on needs and wants to be satisfied.
Exports is when a country sells goods to another country. This is connected to globalization because that one good could make two countires friends by sending selling each other goods.
Specialization is when a country or region focuses on gaining one specific good. This belongs in globalization and trade because one region or country focuses on a good to be where most countrys spend money for that good.
Creative Destruction is making the public aware of long standing practices in order to create new ways for innovation. This is important becuase its the driving force of capatalism.
Winners from globalization consumers are the winners because they buy stuff for a lower price. One example could be production in China. Things produced in China can be bought in the Us for a lower price
Losers from Globalization are the workers that are employed at big facotires. Such as employees in 3rd world countries.
Capital Investment is acquiring physical assets by a company to grow the business. One example is a small clinic buying a heart scan.
Urbanization
Absolute advantage Abolute advantage means when a group can produce more than another gorup to make a place better. One example is the city in canada. since the rich people could afford everything they just took over the city
Gentrification is when wealthier people come to a poor urban area and make the place better and nicer. This connects to absolute advantage its basically the same definition. The rich people were able to make the city a lot better.
Redlining is when people don't let others who are different live in the same neighborhood because they think that they can't afford to live in a nice place. I connected this with absolute advantage because a lot of people who are rich don't want lower class people to live in the same area because they are different. That's basically what happened in the city in Canada. The rich came and many were forced to move because it was too expensive to live there.
Vancouver Canada is a city where the rich took over. The poor weren't able to keep up so many left. They were able to make the city a safer place.
Carrying Capacity is the amount of people that are able to live in a certain area without environmental problems. One example could be San Francisco. The place is very cold since its right next to the ocean.
Favelas are very poor towns around a city in Brazil. All the houses are bunched up with each other. Favelas need Urbanization to make the place less violent and more beautiful.
Megacity is a city with a population with 10 million people living in it. This connects to Urbanization because it is a very populated area and urbanozation means trying to make an area more popularized. So a megacity is basically what urbanization is trying to create.
Rural is basically the countryside where there are not that many people living in the area. This is the opposite of a mega city and this relates to urbanization because a rural place might need it since there not that many people
Population density is the population in the area of a country. This connects to Megacit and rural because it measures the amount of people living in the place so it sbasically tells us if its mega city or rural area.
Infrastructure is basically buildings, roads, and buildings that make a city. I connected this to megacity because infrastructure is what makes a city.
Primate city is the largest city in the country. This is basically the most populated city in the country so it connects to Urbanization.
Sustainable Cities - green technology are cities that are very eco friendly. A good example is Singapore. Most of the buildings in Sigapore have a lot of plants and trees inside. Singapore is also a very nice place so it attracts a lot of tourists and it makes the place a very urban place.
Urban is a very populated place with lots of people living in the area. Most Urban areas are cities. An example could be a city like Denver.
Urban planning is when people are planning to make a city where there are a lot of people in it. This is related to Urbanization because both mean that they are trying to make a city with a lot of people/ urban place.
Migrant
Documented Immigrants are people who immigrated form a different country with documentation proving their entry. this relates to migration since they are moving from a coutnry to another.
Undocumented Immigrant is someone who immigrated a country ilegaly without permission. This is basically the opposite of a documented immigrant.
Rural to Urban migration-pull factors - Better jobs, better opportunities, more local stores (groceries and other essentials) and more social.
Rural to Urban migration-push factors - lack of resources and amenities such as running water, safety, poor education system and no jobs
Refugeee is someone who leaves their country because of a war. This connects to migration because many people have to move to be safe.
Ukraine is connected to refugees because many people have to leave their country because of the Russia and Ukraine war.
Asylum is when a nation offers protection to people that have left their country as a refugee. I connected Asylum and refugee because refugees are protected after they have migrated to a different country.

An immigrant is a person who enters a country that is not where they are not born to live in it perminantly. This is similar to the other words because they all mean someone who leaves their country.
