HEPATITIS B
Anatomy of accessory digestive system
-Hepar
-Gallbladder
-Pancreas
Definition and etiologi of hepatitis B
Hepatitis B is a serious liver infection that causes inflammation (swelling and reddening) that can lead to liver damage. Hepatitis B, also called HBV and Hep B, can cause cirrhosis (hardening or scarring), liver cancer and even death.
Physiology of organ accessory
Accessory organs of digestion are organs that secrete substances needed for the chemical digestion of food but through which food does not actually pass as it is digested.
Hepatitis B serology test
Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg)
Hepatitis B surface antibody (anti-HBs)
Hepatitis B core antibody (anti-HBc)
Risk factors and symptoms of hepatitis B
Symptoms
-Achy muscles or joints
-Stomach pain
-Loss of appetite
-Mild fever
-Diarrhea
-Constipation
Risk Factors
-Having unprotected sex
-Sharing or using dirty needles for drug use, tattoos or piercing
-Being bitten by someone with the infection
-Being born to a pregnant woman with the infection
Pathophysiology of hepatitis
Pharmaco and non-pharmacologic management of hepatitis B
Non-Pharmacology
-Mengonsumsi makan sehat dan seimbang
-istirahat yang cukup
-Menghindari obat hepatotoksik
-Menghindari alkohol
Pharmacology
-Interferon alfa-2b
-Lamivudin
-adefovir dipivoxil (hepsera)
Complications and prognosis of hepatitis B
Complications
-Scarring of the liver (cirrhosis). The inflammation associated with a hepatitis B infection can lead to extensive liver scarring (cirrhosis), which may impair the liver's ability to function.
-Liver cancer. People with chronic hepatitis B infection have an increased risk of liver cancer.
-Liver failure. Acute liver failure is a condition in which the vital functions of the liver shut down. When that occurs, a liver transplant is necessary to stay alive.
