Accomodating dyslexic learners
The classroom environment
temperature - to some students a warm room may be too hot
noise - can be distracting (allow them to use earplugs)
light - very brigh lights may cause visual problems or headaches
visual input - keep the board as clear as possible; use text windows
clearer handwriting - writing slopes
communication and interaction
Regular partners at first might be a better idea
give clear instructions
pair and group work - pairs should work well together (careful grouping needed)
give positive feedback
