IA1-Online Tuckshop - Coggle Diagram

- - - - Convener
        
        The convener viewpoint is for the staff working at the tuckshop to see all the upcoming orders and prepare food in response. The viewpoint allows them to remove and add foods to the items such as pizza on Fridays.
        
        Purpose of viewpoint
        
        The tuckshop staff will use their own unique usernames and passwords for login to see their individual orders that they must prepare. Such details will be portrayed on a screen within the tuckshop for convenience.
      - User
        
        The User viewpoint is for all students that have a current registered student ID (the students will use their email and password provided by the school to login into their account
        
        Purpose of viewpoint
        
        The User viewpoint gives students the option to purchase tuckshop for food the next day before 6:30 pm each day. Once a student goes to their school, they already have a registered account they just have to sign up with their email and password provided by the school. Students will only have access to the menu and ordering pages.
      - Admin
        
        The admin viewpoint is for only a limited amount of trusted adults and is used to see the revenue breakdown and the addition and removal of conveners
        
        Purpose of viewpoint
        
        The admin viewpoint is essential to manage the interface and look over the work that conveners are doing to ensure that their job is being done sufficiently. The admins will also be able to add revoke permissions of conveners if their duties are not complete
  - - - Furthermore from the recommendations based upon data, the interface will remember users habits on particular days so that users can choose a meal for the entire day that they have ordered before and the interface will offer that if they notice a pattern
        
        For an example, on Friday if the interface recognises that the user will recommended to pizza meal that the consumer consistently has. The interface could also allow students to set orders for entire weeks and months in advance so that parents and care givers ensure that their children will have food to eat at school each day
    - - The order process for the tuckshop is simplistic in nature. The user will login or signup into their account where they will add a certain number of items to their cart for purchase. Once they have added all their food they will click purchase and selected a (before school, morning tea and lunch time slot) then an output of the total cost, calories and the time for pick up will occur.
        
        The pick up process explained
        
        There will be two allocated times for pickup of food for before school being 7:45 and 8:15. For lunch and morning tea, there are changing bell times so pick up times will alter because of that. The order of the students will have their name upon it and then the students or staff will use their ID card or other forms of payment at their selected time to reduce the amount of people crowding the tuckshop and the start of morning tea and lunch
    - - Product placement is instrumental for the tuckshop company. Products will be placed in descending order of most ordered with exception to the special which will be placed at the top of the page
        
        Their will also be a food bar at the top of the page with particular break down of the foods such as drinks, snacks, hot meals and fruit which is seen in the existing solutions
    - - The interface will use previous purchases to recommend meals and food to particular consumers. The recommendations will appear on the side of the interface like a sidebar where users can click on the item and it will be automatically added to their cart
    - - User experience without an account will be limited to just looking at the menu across the week so parents and students not at the school and planning on going can look at the food arrangement before attending Terrace. From this page the user will either have to login or signup as that is the only page for users without an account
  - - - Navigation bar
        
        The navigation bar is a great feature to incorporate into a interface because it creates a repetitive design and creates a heirchary in the design of the interface. The navigation bar will follow the user down the page making all pages accessible at all times for the users and allow other platforms to use the interface
      - Links
        
        Links throughout the interface will be used for ordering a particular product or to order the recommended meal and food items the interface recommends for the user. The links will redirect the user to the appropriate pages.
      - Buttons
        
        Similar to links, buttons will be used throughout the interface to confirm orders or to login/signup by clicking a button. There will be significant contrast between text within the button and the button to allow for all users to understand the function of the button
    - - In order to increase the chance of users to be able to read the text on the interface, for the most part their will be a very light background and a very dark text. (adheres to visual communication principles)
    - - In order to adhere to the usability principle of accessibility, the interface will have alternative text to explain the image on the page to accompany for users differing sight abilities
  - - - MeekroDB is how the website is run and connects the html website and the database
- - - - The login system is used for all three viewpoints to login to their respective accounts. Their will only be one login page for all four and then will go to their respective home pages. The staff and students will be redirected to the same page but teachers will have different times and prices available to them
    - - The register system is used for students, staff and conveners who are new to the school so that they can create an account for themselves. They will put in their given username (school email) and password so that they will be stored in the database and be able to login into their account now as their details have been stored into the database
  - - - The order history will allow the interface to provide recommended meals based off of the users previous orders and on the order history page will allow the user to click on a particular day and order everything from that day again
      - The order history will allow for parents and staff to track the money that they are spending on tuckshop, see if there is any food that they did not order on their and have payed for or see if their kids have ordered food without permission in the past or for the future as the interface allows for food to be purchased and ordered months and weeks in advance
  - - - The college symbol will be situated in the top left corner of the navigation bar which will achieve a repetitive design the adheres to the terrace style
    - - The colour design of the website will adhere to the terrace style through the usage of black and white as the main colours in the design but also using small samples of red to include the school colours
- - - - The interface will be accessible and useable across all devices including laptops, phones and iPads. This will be achieved by implementing a navigation bar that follows the user down and allows for all users to access all pages at any given time. Access across different devices will be demonstrated in the proposed solution
        
        The design across platfroms
        
        The design across platforms will be maintained because the design will be achieved through the use of bootstrap which means that the design will be responsive to the size and shape of the device the user is using. That means that the device will continue to adhere to the visual communication and usability principles across all platforms.
    - - In order for the interface to work, it must offer the same abilities and experiences across all platforms.
        
        The interface needs to allow the user to recover from a mistake whilst navigating the website as countless websites do not allow users to recover because of the ruined design as a result of the differing devices. This will be achieved by having an interface with a responsive design and having a navigation bar that follows the user down whilst using the website.
        
        If not achieved the interface will not adhere to the self determined criteria and not be a successful solution
